The Northern Lights District of the Grand Lodge of Alberta, AF&AM, is one of the largest geographical Masonic Grand Lodge districts in the world. Stretching from the 5 lodges in the City of Edmonton that all meet at Freemasons’ Hall, to the WNW of Edmonton on Highway 43 to Whitecourt, and all the way up 1500km to Yellowknife Lodge in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
Founded as District 12 on 30 May 1917. Annual district meeting in October at location determined each year.
