“I do not believe that God is judgmental, vengeful, selfish, spiteful, hateful, or any other attribute that describes anything but perfect love.

I live in a world that appears to think that God is to be feared, and unless I am good, I will be judged at the end of this my corporeal existence.

That I believe that God is perfect love. And since God created me in his own image it logically follows that I am the same but have somehow forgotten who I am.

God gave us all free will to choose what we believe. I am motivated to behave with loving kindness in everything I do although it is not always easy.

Language is powerful!

Words are very important, and some words have caused millions to be slaughtered!

Peace is the goal of my life and I believe conflict of any sort anywhere can only be resolved with forgiveness.

A lack of peace in us engenders conflict, which plays out in a myriad of ways as an attack on our brothers demonstrates. By attack I mean thinking harmful or unkind thoughts.

We seek peace when we distract ourselves by immersing our minds in nature, but this is temporary. Lasting peace is elusive as history keeps showing us when we see our brothers as the enemy.

While we continue to act with fear toward our brothers, we will not be at peace within ourselves.

This also applies to our relationships in lodge how many of us forgive but do not forget. By not forgetting did I really forgive?

What would happen if instead of reacting negatively, we forgave them?

This would be the beginning of a much greater journey.”
