The rovers currently on the planet Mars, Opportunity and Curiosity, have given scientists insight into rock formations that once bore life.  One of the rocks discovered was deemed a “Wopmay” rock–a name from similar rock formations found on the Canadian Shield, then named after WWI flying ace, Bro. Wilfred “Wop” May, who, at one time, was a member of our Lodge.  Bro. May was also a lodge officer during Ivanhoe’s historic meeting up at Coppermine, NT.  You can read the story of that meeting and the members present here.
